9/5 Day Thirty-Six Of Game Project 2
I have unintentionally made writing on the blog in the morning afterwards more or less a habit at this point. So, therefore, I no longer feel the need to explain myself every time I do so, as I will surely do it again.
Today (Thursday), we were all present except for our other designer who had to take the day off. It was once again a very productive day and we got a lot of things in order.
The programmers all made huge progress in their respective fields. All except one animation is implemented into the game and can easily get exchanged if they need iteration. The AI is starting to behave more closely to what we want it to behave, but currently, it behaves a little peculiar. This is hopefully just temporary, however. Other than that, various bugs were found and are now mostly fixed. Since almost all of the implementations are done, the programmers will be able to focus solely on bugs these last days of the project.
The artists had some trouble implementing some assets with moving sprite animations, as the see-through parts of the sprite showed black at times. But this was also fixed by the programmers. The artists still have some work ahead of them, but at this pace, everything will be ready on time. They have already started to light-bake and will tomorrow spend the morning to place out lights, using a script the programmers made.
I personally continued to work onlast the puzzle my co-designer had made and played through the whole game a few times to detect any inconsistencies with the game and tweaking the experience to make sure it was enjoyable. I also conversed with the sound designers and let them voice their thoughts about the game and possible sound additions and changes. They had a new library of sounds they wanted to implement, but unfortunately, something went wrong with the game the programmers could not get the sounds to work correctly. Hopefully, those things will be fixed tomorrow.
That is about it I think!
See you tomorrow(today)!
