14/5 Day Thirty-Nine Of Game Project 2

Today was once again a very productive day. People are working really hard to finalize the game and make it reach its final stage. We still have a few descrepencies in the game, but the gap between is clearly shrinking by the hour. We all feel that the end is closing in, but that we also will make it in time.

The artists are finalizing the last two rooms that needs to get populated with props and get merged with the rest of the level. One of the artists will stay over after work hours to be able to finish it today, which hopefully means that we can finally try the fancier level out tomorrow, if everything goes according to plan from now on.

The programmers has made great progress with the bugs relating to the AI, and now it finally, after a long struggle, looks like the work has paid off. We had to rethink our approach with it some in order to make its path look more logical and natural. And at the moment, it looks much better. Appearently, the AI only has one apparent bug which needs to be dealt with. But we feel that we definitely have enough time to remedy that. We have also made sure now that all of the animations works perfectly in accordance with eachother, as the code has been cleaned up. And finally some minor implementations and additional bug fixes has also been made during the course of the day.

Us designers mostly focused on practicing and constructing our presentation today, as we will have a rehearsal with the other groups tomorrow. We mostly know what we want to say and mostly just need some visual aid for it to be complete. But for that, we have to wait for the artists to finish up there work and implement the full level. We also did some work with the collision level and nav mesh, but unfortunately was not able to playtest the new changes to our game at all, due to an in-house error with the server.

That is about it I think!

Thank you for reading!
