20/3 Day Three Of Game Project 2
Today we had our first daily stand-up meeting happening on the morning. Everyone knew what they where going to work on, which made the meeting relaxed, brief and informative.
The programmers would continue working on implementing the basics camera and movement, while also researching about getting specular shading to work in the game engine we use, which is Tengine by the way.
Meanwhile the artists would continue working on researching and testing different concepts to see if it could fit the game and make a consistent style out of it. They also worked on the art guide, which is slowly starting to take form.
We designers, like yesterday, split our work up into two, where one focused on revising the GDD and the other worked with level greyboxing and scaling referencing. Parallell to that, we also tweaked and changed a few of the mechanics that were vague or just did not make sense in some way.
All in all, the whole group maintained a steady workflow throughout the day and even though it was uneventful, we certainly made a lot of progress.
