18/3 Day One Of Game Project 2

Even though we have made some minor work on the side concerning this game project these past couple of weeks, the production of it officially starts today. 

Our game concept is a top-down hack and slash/puzzle game where a core mechanic is to encapsulate objects and enemies in a stasis sphere, which they can use to damage other enemies and solve puzzles.

We started the day by listening to a talk about concerning project management and group dynamics and what we could expect from the coming weeks. After the meeting, we moved our computers and stationed ourselves with the respective groups we were in.

After lunch, we had a meeting with the group to discuss our weekly plan before seeing our teachers about it. I had written a simple plan during the weekend and asked the group if it was sensible. I had to make a few changes, but otherwise, the group was content with the rough plan.

Right after the meeting, we met the teachers who had all read our concept document and was satisfied with what we had but showed a bit of concern regarding complexity and unnecessary mechanics. We decided to discuss this tomorrow.

We ended our day with a social gathering while eating fika.

Hopefully tomorrow, we can discuss the plan a bit more in-depth with the group and improve of our Concept Document in order to turn it into a fully fledged GDD.
